RUCHI New York was founded in 2018 by Ruchi Kotahwala, who grew up around fine stones through her family's gem business. Her designs draw on travel and nature: a trip to California's Anza-Borrego Desert led to floral pieces in pastel gems, and a tropical rainforest to emeralds and rubies. The house works in conflict-free gold and conflict-free diamonds, and finishes its gold in satin, matte and black. At House Kemora that means the black-finished Sable Noir pieces, the satin-gold Nautilus line, and sapphire, emerald and diamond studs, hoops and rings in 18K gold.
